Unit 33 LO1 - Evaluation of Stop Motion Animation Formats

Make a 10 second animation using each of the following:

• Clay
• Lego
• Paper Cut Outs
• Sand/Tea
• Whiteboard
• People and Objects

Complete a WWW/EBI for each of the above. Discuss:

• Camera shots
• Camera movement
• Lighting
• Artistic ability
• Set requirements
• Errors: set up/hands in shot/onion skin etc

Include images from your animations

Write an evaluation that discusses and  compares all formats. Justify which format you will use for your animation and explain why.

Remember your pitch should answer the following questions:

What is the main purpose of your interview?

What makes your idea unique?

What are your key questions and why would an audience care?

What plans have you already got in place in order to record your interview (location, equipment etc.)
