Issues of Documentary Case Study
Find the definition of the following terms...
Accuracy, Balance, Impartiality, Objectivity, Subjectivity, Opinion, Bias, Representation, Privacy

Explain them in your OWN words and clearly evidenced. Think about how they affect a documentary and/or the audience watching the documentary. Apply the terms to a documentary of your choice.

Unit 27 – Documentary – LO3

Distinction: Plan and research a factual programme for television to a quality that reflects near-professional standards, showing creativity and flair and working independently to professional expectations

In other words…

Distinction: Plan and research a documentary to an excellent standard, showing creativity and flair and working independently.

Story Ideas
Create 3 story ideas, all with a brief synopsis of the documentary. Say why you would want to make a documentary about these ideas and also how they are inspirational.

Documentary Research
You will need to provide a detailed post of ALL of the web, book and personal research that you have done for your documentary. This should have a number of sources (min 10) and information about the people that you will be interviewing.

Proposal
Present a Prezi presenting all of the above pieces of work and presenting the structure of your film. You will want to consider for this…
Genre, style, intended aim, budget, Target Audience, A synopsis, Contacts and Interview set-ups.
